Putnam is a town in Connecticut and was incorporated in 1855 located in northeast corner of Connecticut. The history of Putnam, CT, begins in the 1700s when the town was known as Aspinock. During this time, the town was a small agricultural community where the people sustained themselves with farming activities and basic trade.
